Formed in 1990,The RH Factor Ė a bank marketing & communications firm Ė is widely-known for designing and establishing mature market affinity clubs in banks throughout the Southeastern and Midwestern United States.

A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelorís degree in mass communications, Hughey worked as an investigative reporter and photographer for both a regional daily, Columbia Daily Herald, and a regional correspondent for  Nashville Banner prior to embarking on a banking career in 1985. As a journalist, she was a co-recipient of the prestigious Malcolm Law Memorial Award for Investigative Reporting by the Tennessee Press Association. She continues to contribute articles regularly published by banking journals and travel publications.

    As a banker, she was Assistant Vice President & Director of Marketing for First National Bank of Pulaski, Tennessee, where she developed The Heritage Club for that bankís 55+ Mature Market in the mid-1980s. She grew the program from 200 to 2,200 households by 1990, when she formed The RH Factor in partnership with Jane Lee Robertson. In 1992, Hughey assumed full ownership of the firm and focused its efforts on providing marketing services for financial institutions. The company quickly came to specialize in development of products and services designed specifically for the mature market. As such, it has successfully developed club programs for nearly 100 banks over the past thirteen years in a region encompassing Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and North Carolina.

    Today, the company provides a broad spectrum of services ranging from operational and strategic planning, account structure, product development and club design to travel management to marketing support via design of newsletters, promotional and sales materials as well as comprehensive staff and coordinator training and service delivery methods.

    Hughey is a two-time recipient of the prestigious Bank Marketing Associationís Golden Coin Award for marketing excellence: one in 1986 for corporate communications while at First National Bank and a second in 1996 for product design in developing the Pineapple Gold Club for Franklin National Bank in Franklin, Tennessee.

    Additionally, she is the author of the first edition of Marketing to Seniors: A Bankerís Guide for Sheshunoff/Thompson Financial. First published in 1997, the industry manual was an instant best-seller and today maintains its position as one of the top-selling manuals published by the prestigious bank marketing consultantís publishing arm.

    Her highly-successful Roadmap to Bank Travel seminar has taken her throughout the United States speaking to state banking associations, advertising coalitions and Bank Marketing chapters.

    Hughey is a past-president and board member of the Kentucky Bank Marketing Association; a past chairman of the Tennessee Bankersí Association Marketing Committee; a three-year member of the National Leadership Council for the American Bankersí Associationís Bank Marketing Association (BMA) and a past keynote presenter at national conferences, ranging from BMA to Bank Travel.

    She and her husband, Jerry, reside in Pulaski, Tennessee and are the parents of two sons: Joshua and Jacob.
